  1. LOUISA MASTERS started reading romance much earlier than her mother thought she should While other teenagers were sneaking out of the house, Louisa was sneaking romance novels in and working out how to read them without being discovered She s spent most of her life feeling sorry for people who don t read, convinced that books are the solution to every problem As an adult, she feeds her addiction in every spare second, only occasionally tearing herself away to do things like answer the phone and pay bills She spent years trying to build a sensible career, working in bookstores, recruitment, resource management, administration, and as a travel agent, before finally conceding defeat and devoting herself to the world of romance novels Louisa has a long list of places first discovered in books that she wants to visit, and every so often she overcomes her loathing of jet lag and takes a trip that charges her imagination She lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she whines about the weather for most of the year while secretly admitting she ll probably never move.

  2. 3 StarsOn his precious, self dubbed lazy Saturday the 23rd of December , Ethan gets coerced by his sister into making a last minute Christmas shopping run to the biggest, most frantically busy shopping complex in Australia He s not happy about it but he braves the chaos for his little sister because he s a good brother There he meets Ty and the two young men hit it off immediately When they learn of other connections they were unaware they shared, Ty and Ethan begin to think maybe fate has broug [...]

  3. 3.5 Stars for O Hell, All Ye ShoppersThis was an adorable Australian meet cute with a couple of very likable MCs While it was a very low key story, not a drop of angst to be found, the writing is very clean and the banter Ethan and Ty shared showed their connection well The story wasn t over engineered and what transpired in their first few days together worked perfectly for a short story It s all about the excitement and butterflies when meeting a new potential love and for us new love junkies, [...]

  4. 3 HeartsThis was super cute When Ethan Hall has to go to the mall only two before Christmas to pick up a gift his little sister has bought for their older sister, he is grumpy When he gets to the mall he is grumpier and then he walks into a boutique full of girly things and he is beside himself While trying to retrieve the package for his sister, he meets the only other male in the store, Ty, and they instantly bond They bond and they fancy each other and after surviving the mall, they decide to [...]

  5. Shopping is so not an activity I like, and the thought of Ethan having to battle the hordes in a mall the day before Christmas Eve had me cringing on his behalf Add the heat that an Australian Christmas has to offer, issues with traffic even just getting to and from the mall, and finding parking, and I felt sorry for him even before I started to read The fact that he does it because his little sister is desperate made me like him, and all I could hope for was a sort of Christmas miracle for Etha [...]

  6. 3.5 5 Stars for O Hell, All Ye Shoppers The story in and of itself was a cute idea Two single guys meet in the midst of horrifying holiday shopping and bond over their mutual male ness The execution felt a little cut off I liked Ethan and Ty well enough Ethan was cute and very family oriented, Ty made for good comical relief and was probably super romantic, but I have no way of actually knowing that because the story cut off without any real progress in their relationship I didn t get any kisses [...]

  7. I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads I was pleased and surprised to see this short story is set in my city, Melbourne, and to read a Christmas story set in summer rather than winter.Ethan meets Ty when he agrees to head to Chadstone Shopping Centre at the behest of his sister to pick up a last minute Christmas present I loved the realistic portrayal of the craziness of the shopping centre, it was spot on The Chadstone Shopping Centre car park is notorious.Oh He [...]

  8. O Hell, All Ye Shoppers was a cute Christmas short story This was the first book I ve read by Miss Masters and I enjoyed her easy writing style and the quick, flowing dialogue I loved the theme of a fated meeting and thought it was a cute way to give the reader some insight into the characters and their future without the romance feeling excessively rushed Unfortunately, the limited length meant I didn t get a chance to really see these two as a couple or experience much than those initial spar [...]

  9. A Joyfully Jay review 3.5 starsThis book has everything you need for that true Christmas spirit Trying to park at the mall, being stalked by other drivers as you walk to your car, standing in line, and easy listening Christmas carols It also has a charming couple who find out that fate itself had a hand in picking out the wrapping paper Light and fluffy, it s a perfect bit of Christmas sugar for the holiday week.Read Elizabeth s review in its entirety here.

  10. The fun in this Christmas short story is just how excited Ethan and Tyler are to meet each other and date The close family and the Southern Hemisphere X Mass is nice as well.A quick nice read.

  11. THREE STAR REVIEW Judging a Book by it s Cover This title was not provided with an individual cover at the time of review, therefore I am unable to judge it by so The synopsis was interesting but the title made me laugh and THAT is why I requested to read and review this short story Looking Deeper POV Third PersonSetting Melbourne, AustraliaEthan and Ty find themselves in a women s boutique type store in the mall the day before Christmas Eve, much to their dismay On the bright side, it seems fat [...]

  12. 3.5 starsEthan plans to enjoy his lazy Saturday on December 23rd when his younger sister begs him to pick up Christmas gift for their older sister at Chadstone, the busiest shopping center in Melbourne With internal grumblings, Ethan goes through crazy late shoppers, enters a female specialty item store to get his sister s order. That s when he meets Ty, the only other man in the store, who apparently also needs to get something else than a blender thing, for his sister Ethan and Ty hit it off mi [...]

  13. 2.5 stars rounded up This one just didn t grab me It was sort of a meet cute story about shopping on the worst day of the year the Saturday before Christmas at a crowded mall and women s boutique store Ethan and Ty are the only two guys in the store and they bond over that and shopping for some kind of ridiculous gifts Turns out their have a family connection They go out for a drink after and that leads to Honestly, there just wasn t enough of a connection or feel for the characters to grab me [...]

  14. This was a really cute short story that note only captured the hellish last minute Christmas rush but also that magical time when you just click with someone and a relationship is brand new This is a little bit of an it s a small world story which helps make the instant connection between these guys believable and also adds a little bit to what we know and feel about them I enjoyed the frustrations these guys felt in trying to find time to get to know one another better over the holidays There [...]

  15. This short story was a decent one about two men who meet in a crowded department store the last shopping day before Christmas, but my problem was it was just too short for me to get emotionally involved with either of the characters or the story It felt like it was missing a few solid chapters for me Plus I kept getting the two main characters mixed up in my head, because they were so interchangeable with one another.

  16. As someone who has had the very unfortunate experience of both shopping and working on Christmas Eve, I thought this story was pretty funny I felt the characters pain and frustration Though it is a short story, I would enjoy reading about Ethan and Ty beyond the holiday season Full review posted at The Novel Approach.

  19. Nothing like an unlikely meet up in shopping hell Then they discover some coincidences This is a fun story of holiday craziness done right.

  20. A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review Rating 4 stars out of 5This was a cute story Ethan can t help but give in to help his sister and meeting Ty make all of his frustration worth it It s strange how Ethan and Ty are connected and could have met so many times but it just seems they were never in the right place at the right time I loved their connection and how much they want to see how they can work together I love that they don t jump in too much but want to spend as much [...]
